Bekaert CDP are now able to future proof their quality management systems

Justin attended ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training in Leeds, and now has more confidence in conducting audits and has a clear understanding of the difference between the 2008 and 2015 standard. 

What were your training objectives?

This is a desirable qualification and experience for my role here at Bekaert CDP

What learning did you take from the course?

I would have liked to have done more with the standard itself before the course, as the time the tutor had to put to one side to teach me the clauses could have been better spent learning how to audit. If I gave any advice it would be to learn the standard and then learn it some more!

Have you been able to apply anything since the course?

Since the course I have had the pleasure of our customers coming in to do audits. Due to the course I have had the insight and confidence to not only prepare myself and the company but to also future proof the Quality Management Systems here at Bekaert CDP.

I have since passed two customer audits and look forward to the next one.

What have been the benefits for you and the business?

We are currently moving to the 2015 standard and because of the course I now know the differences between the old and the new.

How was the tutor?

The tutor was extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. I cannot rate him Highly enough.

What was the venue like?

The only gripe I have is that while we were doing the course, Emmerdale was filming and some of the hotel was blocked off. Other than that it was first class!

Any advice to delegates?

Learn the standard!

Would you recommend Bywater?

If all the tutors are like mine, YES!
