Why and how to purchase an ISO standard
Bywater develops its training programmes around ISO standards to enable organisations to achieve certification if they wish, and to ensure that all relevant stakeholders have a consistent and clear understanding of management systems’ best practice in their area of operation.
For some courses delegates need a copy of the standard readily available to support their training. Even if this is not the case, it is recommended that an organisation holds a copy of the standard for reference.
Bywater does not have ISO standards available for purchase. However, you can order directly from the ISO store.
What are ISO standards?
ISO standards are internationally recognised frameworks which set out specifications, guidelines or requirements for products, services, processes or systems. Topics covered by ISO standards include quality management, environmental management, information security, occupational health and safety, energy management, and food safety.
These standards are intended to promote consistency, interoperability, efficiency, safety, and quality across different organisations, products, and services globally.
ISO standards are developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent international organisation composed of national standards bodies from countries around the world.
ISO standards are voluntary, but many organisations choose to seek certification to demonstrate their commitment to best practices, quality management, and continuous improvement, which can lead to enhanced credibility, competitiveness, and market access.
