ELCAS Funding
ELCAS is a UK Ministry of Defence scheme that contributes towards the cost of lifelong learning for armed forces personnel, both serving and those who have left the military.
We are pleased to be an approved training provider for the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS) programme.
The scheme provides an opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications that improve employability in future civilian careers across many industries.
As an ELCAS-approved learning provider we meet quality standards and accreditation requirements to ensure that the training offered is of high quality and meets the needs of armed forces personnel.
We offer a range of management systems and business improvement training courses through ELCAS:
- CQI and IRCA Lead Auditor training courses
- CQI and IRCA Auditor Conversion training courses
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- IEMA Environmental Management System (EMS)
- RSS Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Select your preferred training course from the table below.
ELCAS provides funding for up to 80% of the course fees for approved courses. Delegates are required to make a personal contribution of at least 20% towards the total course cost. Please note ELCAS funding does not cover costs in relation to travel, food or accommodation.
Eligibility for claiming ELCAS, and the amount you can claim, is based upon the time you have completed eligible service and, if you are a service leaver, when you left.
Funding via ELCAS is available to members of the armed forces who meet specific criteria.
To find out if you are eligible for ELCAS funding you can submit an application through the ELCAS online portal. The Enhanced learning Credits Claim Form for serving personnel can be found here, and the form for service leavers can be found here.
The form will ask for information such as personal details, your service number, and enlistment date. Those no longer in service are also required to provide information such as evidence of their last day of service and a utility bill.
You will also be asked for Bywater’s Learning Provider ID, which is 11235.
Following approval for funding ELCAS will give you a Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) which you should email to Bywater at contact@bywater.co.uk. This will allow us to process your booking.
For funding towards our Lead Auditor training course, Auditor Conversion course or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training course, we recommend you submit your claim to ELCAS at least 6 weeks before the course start date to allow time for your ELCAS application to clear.
It is important you choose your course carefully as we can only accept bookings for the course details on your CAN. Retrospective ELCAS claims are not permitted.
Your personal contribution for the course is due 14 days prior to the course date, or immediately if the course starts sooner.
