From our beginnings as a quality consultancy, we have made a natural progression to expand our training programmes across ISO standards, business improvements and other vital business topics.
Today we are the UK’s leading independent provider of management systems and business improvement training and consultancy.
As a privately-owned company we take pride in the reputation we have gained over 40 years for delivering the quality and value, and listening to the needs of our clients.
1982
Bywater begins life in the UK as a consultancy providing major oil companies with consultancy and training in strategy and management systems.
2000
We have completed over 2000 complex consulting engagements and transferred skills to over 200,000 people as part of the change process in the UK, UAE, Australia and the USA.
2002
Bywater is acquired by long-term partner Axon, an SAP implementation consultancy firm. We now support Axon by delivering training and consultancy to its major projects.
2008
Axon is acquired by the global technology company HCL. Bywater moves back into private ownership through a management buyout that ensures as an independent company we can continue to focus on providing high-quality training.
Our client list now features well-known names around the world, including Maersk, Cadbury, Nissan, Unilever, Zeneca and Glaxo Wellcome, many of which continue to be customers to the present day.
2015
The management systems division at Bywater merges with Excel Partnership, expanding our range of training courses into the automotive, medical devices, laboratories and inspection bodies.
Now
We offer nearly a thousand public and dedicated courses a year, both face-to-face and virtual, with courses certified by relevant bodies such as CQI/IRCA, IEMA and the RSS. Key to our continued growth is the nurturing of entrepreneurial spirits, providing a platform for subject matter experts to create and deliver new and valuable training for business.
