Ian has gained knowledge of ISO 9001 auditing and is all set to conduct his first audit.
Ian, the QHSE Manager from Garda World recently attended an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor course to gain knowledge on auditing ISO 9001:2015, and he is all set to conduct his first audit this week.
What were your training objectives?
I have recently taken over the role of QHSE manager and I attended this course to gain a better understanding of auditing within our company.
What learning did you take from the course?
From day 1 of the course I have gained a wealth of experience. This was my first auditing course and I have gained full confidence of conducting audits myself.
Have you been able to apply anything since the course?
Since attending the course last week I have gained confidence in myself to conduct audits. I have already started to plan for my first audit this week and have sent off the audit plan this morning.
How was the tutor?
The tutor, Dave, was fantastic – his knowledge was unbelievable. He had a great style of teaching in an understandable way – this clicked with me from day 1.
What was the venue like?
Great service was received throughout the week, along with unlimited tea/coffee and biscuits/cakes provided all day. Lunch was great and was always on time. My commute was around 40 minutes and was made to feel welcome when I arrived a bit earlier to avoid the morning traffic in Exeter, parking was great too!
