ISO 37002:2021 outlines the guidelines for establishing and implementing an effective Whistleblowing Management System (WMS), based on the principles of trust, impartiality and protection. The standard is designed to assist organisations to manage internal whistleblowing arising from suspected malpractice, including supporting whistleblowers and ensuring reports of whistleblowing are dealt with efficiently. The benefits of implementing an effective WMS can include; ensuring compliance with organisational policies, demonstrating ethical practices to stakeholders, identifying wrongdoing at the earliest opportunity and preventing/minimalising loss of assets. ISO 37002, which is written around the Annex SL framework, can be used on its own or incorporated within an integrated management system, for example to work in line with ISO 9001.
This one-day ISO 37002 Whistleblowing Management Systems Fundamentals training course provides delegates with an understanding of ISO 37002 including the purpose, key clauses and definitions outlined within the standard. Through engaging modules, delegates will understand how to determine the scope of a WMS and how to address reports of wrongdoing.
